Learn how to securely clean the image drum using the new Secure Drum Data Erase Report feature available in HP FutureSmart 5.5 and newer.
The Secure Drum Data Erase Report feature is a new enhancement that enables users to print a six-page data report of garbage text (O, #, or X) to clean and purge any image retention that may exist on the imaging drum of a laser device. HP Security Advisors recommend printing the random text to overwrite any remnant information from the imaging drum.
