Samsung Laser Printers - How to Set up Wireless printing via USB for macOS

Learn how to set up the Samsung printer wirelessly for a Mac computer via a USB connection.
note:
It is recommended that you download the latest printer and scan drivers for the printer.
If you have not installed the print driver yet, go to Software and Driver Downloads, search for the printer model, and then download the latest macOS driver.
To set up wireless features, follow these steps.
  1. Connect the USB cable to the USB port on the printer, and then connect the other end to the Mac computer.
  2. After the connections are complete, open the wireless setup by running the Wireless Setting application.
    note:
You can download the EasyWirelessSetup_Mac application, or go to Software and Driver Downloads and type your model printer into the search text box to download the Easy Wireless Setup.

next on the Printer Not Found dialog. Try a different USB cable if available.

  7. A list of wireless networks that the printer can see appears. Select your network, and then click Next(Wireless Network Security Dialog appears). If your network does not appear, try the following:
    • Make sure your wireless router or access point is broadcasting on the 2.4Ghz band, not 5Ghz. Samsung printers do not currently have 5Ghz capability.
    • See if another wireless device can get a good signal (at least 2 bars consistently) in the same spot. Bear in mind that antenna strength varies between devices; if your laptop or phone is only able to get one bar of signal it is likely the printer will not be able to get a consistent signal at all.
    • If you have verified there is a consistent good signal but the printer does not see the network, click Advanced Settings, and then enter your network information manually.

  8. Type the Security Key (WEP/WPA/WPA2) in the network password: field and then click Next.
    note:
If you do not know what your Security Key is, contact your network administrator or the manufacturer of your router/access point for assistance.
