DESCRIPTION
HP Reverb G1, G2 and other VR Headsets Cable may be damaged from customer installed plastic (heat shrink) tubing on cable. The additional plastic tubing can cause stress at bend points breaking the cable wires.

RESOLUTION
  • Do not install plastic tubing over cables and connectors.
  • Customer needs to modify how they allow cable to hang off the back of headset to prevent cable bending stress.
  • On damaged headsets,
    • Test if the extension cable or headset cable is damaged.
    • Replace damaged component from spares.
