HP Social Media Snapshots - Printing Photos on Social Media Snapshots Paper

This document is for the HP Social Media Snapshots app, HP Social Media Snapshots paper, and Apple and Android mobile devices.

The HP Social Media Snapshots app lets you print, share, and design photos from sites like Facebook and Instagram. Learn how to print and use HP Social Media Snapshots adhesive-backed photo paper with the app.

Load HP Social Media Snapshot paper into the input tray or photo tray, depending on your printer model. Make sure the sheets are flat before you load the paper in the tray.
Download and install the HP Social Media Snapshot app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device type.
Tap the HP Snapshots icon .
Choose a photo from Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, or the photo library on your mobile device.

Enter your login credentials, if prompted.
On the Select Template screen, select a border.
Tap Enter Text to add and edit comments, if desired, and then click Done.
Tap the Print icon .
Select the 4 x 5 paper size, and then tap Print.
Tap Continue to confirm the paper size.
On the Print screen, select your printer, change any print settings, and then tap Print.

The photo prints.
If you want to hang the photo using the adhesive backing, gently remove the backing paper from the photo.

What are the HP Social Media Snapshots paper handling guidelines?

Use these guidelines for proper storage and handling of your adhesive photo paper.

Avoid touching or scratching the glossy (printable) side of the paper.
Paper should be stored in an environment between 20˚ to 25˚ C (68˚ F to 77˚ F).
Always store unused paper on a flat surface in its original box.
HP recommends printing at room temperature between 20˚ to 25˚ C (68˚ F to 77˚ F) and at 40 to 60 percent relative humidity.
To preserve your photos, display photos indoors and away from direct sunlight.
HP Social Media Snapshots paper is not removable from vinyl or other sheets of HP Social Media Snapshots paper.

Why is my printer not picking up the HP Snapshots photo paper?

If the printer does not pick up the sheet of HP Social Media Snapshots paper, remove the photo paper from the input tray or photo tray. Rotate the paper 180˚ with the opposite edge facing the printer, and reinsert the photo paper.

How do I correct uneven margins on my HP Social Media Snapshot photo?

If the printer prints photos with uneven margins, select a white layout in the HP Social Media Snapshots app, such as Hemingway/template #1, Asimov/template #3, or Clean/template #11.

Why am I getting a paper mismatch error message when I print?

If you receive a Paper size mismatch error message when you try to print, change the default paper size.

On your mobile device, open a web browser, and then enter the printer IP address in the address field.

The Embedded Web Server (EWS) opens.
Tap Settings, and then tap Preferences.

note:
Depending on your device, the paper size preference setting might be in a different location.
From the Preferences drop-down menu, tap Paper Settings.
Change the default paper size to custom, select the paper size that matches the paper in the tray, and then tap Apply.
