HP Desktop PCs - Finding Warranty Information

This information is for HP Desktop PCs.
This document describes how to find warranty and support information for your desktop computer.

Use the HP Product Warranty Check website

The HP Product Warranty Check webpage provides current warranty status, category and warranty end date. It also offers support solutions for your computer.
note:
You need to know the country/region the computer was purchased in and the serial number of the computer to check warranty status using this method.
  1. Find the serial number for your HP computer. Go to Finding the Serial Number for detailed steps.
  2. In a browser, go to Product Warranty Check.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select the Country/Region the computer was purchased in, type your serial number, and then select Check Warranty.

  4. The warranty information is displayed in the browser.

Use HP Support Assistant

Use HP Support Assistant to find the current warranty status, category and warranty end date of your PC.
note:
An Internet connection is needed for HP Support Assistant to locate your computer's warranty information.
  1. Go to HP Support Assistant to download and install HP Support Assistant software, if it is not already installed on your computer.
  2. In Windows, search for and open HP Support Assistant.
  3. On the My devices tab, select My desktop to open the details view.

  4. In the details view, select Warranty and Services. HP Support Assistant displays warranty details.
