Chrome OS performs automatic updates when connected to the internet, and includes a built-in printing solution that does not require an HP driver download.
When an Update Available notification displays on the computer, click Restart to Update to download and install updates.
To set up your printer, make sure it can be discovered by the computer, and then add it through Chrome OS settings.

Connect the printer USB cable to the Chromebook. For wireless printing, place the printer close to the Chromebook and within range of the Wi-Fi router, and then connect the printer to the network.

From the Chrome OS settings, click Advanced.

Under Printing, click Printers, and then click Add printer.
