Intel Thunderbolt 3 Firmware for HP Thunderbolt 3 Dock:

- Provides enhanced stability.

1. Download the file by clicking the Download or Obtain Software button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

- The system must be running one of the following operating systems with Administrator or equivalent access: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10.
- The system must be a USB-C capable HP Commercial notebook or tablet compatible with an HP ZBook or Elite Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station.
- The system must be docked to HP ZBook or Elite Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station running on A/C power.
- A DisplayPort Display must be attached and running on an HP ZBook or Elite Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station.
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 must be installed.

For systems that are running Windows 7:

- The system must not be running an update that was previously installed by an AMD USB filter driver.

For systems that are running Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10 v1703 and earlier:

- The ASMedia driver v1.16.49.1 must be installed before this update is run.

For systems that are running Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10:

- The HP Audio Dock driver v1.31.36.30 must be installed before this update is run.

NOTE: After the HP Thunderbolt 3 Dock firmware is updated to v1.53, the previous version of the HP Thunderbolt 3 Dock Firmware tool will no longer function. Firmware version 1.53 or later should be used.
