HP LaserJet - Older HP printers with macOS drivers
This document applies to older HP LaserJet printer models that are compatible with macOS operating systems.
For newer printers (HP LaserJet Pro, HP LaserJet Enterprise, HP LaserJet Managed, HP PageWide, etc.), go to 123.hp.com to get the latest drivers.
Get the driver
Older printers previously used Apple Software Update, but now have drivers available for download at hp.com. To download the driver, click one of the links below.
Before installing the driver, use the information below to make sure the printer is compatible and that you are using an install connection that the printer supports.

Scanning with older HP printers
While many newer HP multifunction printers support scanning, older HP LaserJet multifunction printers do NOT support scanning from HP Scan, Apple AirPrint, Image Capture, Preview, or Scan to PDF in OS X versions 10.9 and newer.
To scan with these older printers, use the control panel.
