HP Printers - 'Unable to register the printer to your account' error

This document is for HP printers.
An Unable to register the printer to your account error opens with code [Error UA_200_OWSVD00001] indicating the printer is unable to connect to HP cloud services and register to your account. Make sure your printer is ready for setup, and then try again.

If you encounter the error UA_400_EB000U0405, contact HP Customer Support.
'Unable to register the printer to your account' error

Step 1: Ready the printer

To complete the printer setup, make sure the printer is ready for account registration.
  1. Make sure Web Services is enabled and the printer claim process is complete.
    For more information, go to Printer Claim Process and FAQs.
  2. Press the Power button to turn on your printer or to wake it from sleep mode.

Step 2: Check the wireless internet connection

Make sure the printer is connected to an active internet connection.
On the printer control panel, locate the Wireless icon or light .
  • If the wireless icon or light is solid, it is connected to the network. Continue to the next step.
  • If the wireless icon or light is blinking, reconnect your printer to a wireless network, and then continue to the next step.

Step 3: Complete the printer setup

After the printer is connected to an active internet connection, complete the printer setup.

Step 4: Reset the printer to factory settings

Reset the printer to remove all previous printer settings and preferences, and then try the printer setup again.

Step 5: Contact HP Customer Support

If you completed all preceding steps and issue has not resolved, contact HP Customer Support.
