HP PCs - Send Files to Nearby Bluetooth Devices Using Nearby Sharing (Windows 10)

This document applies to HP computers with Windows 10.
The Nearby Sharing feature in Windows 10 lets you send files over Bluetooth to nearby Windows 10 PCs. This works in any app with the Share function, such as Photos or File Explorer. You can also share web pages in Microsoft Edge.
The devices you want to share with must have Bluetooth turned on and be in Bluetooth range. In addition, they must be running the Windows 10 April 2018 Update (or later) and have Nearby Sharing enabled.

Video overview

Using Nearby Sharing

Use the following steps to enable Nearby Sharing, and then share your files wirelessly.
  1. To enable Nearby Sharing, click the Action Center icon in the lower-right, and then click the Nearby Sharing button. Do this on all devices that will use Nearby Sharing.
