Final HP Z Workstation series November 2017 Software Refresh (Windows 7 and Windows 10)

DETAILS OF CHANGE
Effective November 1, 2017, HP is changing the software configuration and system BIOS firmware on HP Z workstations that come with Windows 7 and Windows 10. The new software addition and updates are being made available for download from HP’s support Web site for owners of existing Z440, Z640, Z840, Z238, Z240 Tower, Z240 Small Form Factor, and Z2 Mini G3 series workstations.
HP Z240 series workstations BIOS 1.63 has the following enhancements added:
  • Improves security of UEFI code and variables. (Vulnerabilities to be disclosed as HP PSR-2017-0123 and HP PSR-2017-0134). HP strongly recommends promptly transitioning to this updated BIOS version.
  • Updates Intel reference code to v4.1.0.8.
  • Updates PXE OROM to v1.12.
  • Updates UEFI LAN driver v0.0.17.
  • Adds F10 Setup and WMI option to disable individual UEFI boot devices.
  • Adds certain Linux boot paths.
  • Fixes an issue where system could incorrectly report a POST error (90D-System Temperature).
HP Z2 Mini G3 series workstations BIOS 1.63 has the following enhancements added:
  • Improves security of UEFI code and variables. (Vulnerabilities to be disclosed as HP PSR-2017-0123 and HP PSR-2017-0134). HP strongly recommends promptly transitioning to this updated BIOS version.
