DESCRIPTION
The HP Smart Adapter message appears when the power adapter is plugged into a computer in a low battery state (battery level 0-3%). The following message appears when the 65W USB-C power adapter is plugged into the computer:
  • For full performance, connect a higher capacity power adapter.
  • HP recommends using HP power source

The HP Smart Adapter message is incorrect. The battery will continue to charge when the power adaptor is plugged in. Ignore this message. HP is investigating this issue.
