Samsung Laser Printers - How to Reset Your SyncThru Password

This document explains how to reset the SyncThru Web Service login ID and/or password on a Samsung Laser printer. To learn more about the SyncThru Web Service, see the following topics:
To reset the password, you must clear the printer network settings with Easy Printer Manager:
  1. Connect the printer to the PC via USB cable.
  2. Open Easy Printer Manager on your computer by clicking the icon in the task tray.
    note:
    If Easy Printer Manager is not installed, go to to the HP Software and Driver Download page and submit your printer model to view a list of available drivers and software. If Samsung Easy Printer Manager appears in the list, download and install it now. If Easy Printer Manager is not available for your printer, go to www.hp.com/support for assistance.

  3. Switch Easy Printer Manager to Advanced mode by clicking the Advanced mode button.

  4. Select the USB connected printer, and click Device Settings.

  5. Click the Network tab and scroll down to the bottom of the window.

  6. Click the Clear button.
    note:
    This will clear all the network settings and the SyncThru Web Service ID and password. The printer will need to be reconnected to the network after clearing the network settings.

  7. Click OK to confirm that the settings should be cleared.
  8. Turn off the printer, wait a minute, and then turn it on again.
    All of the network settings (including the SWS password) will be reset.
    Manually configured IP information or wireless network connection settings will need to be re-entered. The login information will return to these default values:
    • ID: admin
    • Password: sec00000
