HP Printers - Printing with Google Home

This document is for HP web-connected printers and Google Home.
To print your Google Calendar and pre-formatted content such as puzzles, forms, and coloring pages, enable the HP Printer app for Google Assistant.
Step 1: Connect the HP Printer app to your Google account
Use your Android smartphone or tablet, or Apple iPad, iPhone, iPod touch to connect the HP Printer app to your Google account.
  1. On your mobile device, open or install the Google Assistant app, depending on your mobile device.
    • Android devices: Long press the Home icon to open Google Assistant.
    • Apple iOS devices: Go to Google Assistant (in English) from the App Store, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install and open the app.
  2. On the Google Assistant screen, tap the menu icon .
    The Explore screen displays.
  3. Scroll down to the Productivity section, and then tap HP Printer.

  4. Tap LINK, and then tap Allow to complete the set up. If prompted, sign in to the same Google account you used to set up Google Home.

    The HP Printer app is now linked to your Google account.
  5. After the printer links, go back to the previous screen, and then tap TRY IT.

Step 2: Register your printer with Google Cloud Print
Before you print from the HP Printer app, you must register your printer with Google Cloud Print.
  note:
Printers that do not support Web Services or HP ePrint that have been registered to Google Cloud Print via the "Classic Printer" Google Cloud Print registration process are not supported.
