Charge your mobile device when the computer is off

Use Windows to enable wireless mobile device charging while the computer is off. If you cannot enable wireless charging from Windows, you can configure the BIOS to charge wirelessly.

Troubleshoot charging issues

If the wireless charging feature does not work as expected, make sure the mobile device supports wireless charging, the device is placed correctly on the charging base, and update the computer BIOS.
  1. Make sure your mobile device is capable of wireless charging. Refer to the product specifications of your mobile device.
  2. Make sure to place your mobile device on the charging base of the computer.
    • The device screen should face up.
    • Slowly move the device on the charging base until the charging indicator light turns on.
If the problem persists, continue with the next step.
  3. Update the BIOS on your computer to the latest version. Go to Updating the BIOS (Basic Input Output System)
If the problem persists, contact HP Customer Support.
