This document is about the HP Printables and the HP Printables mobile app.

HP Printables and the HP Printables mobile app were retired on October 31, 2016. The retirement time frame was June 2016 through October 31, 2016.

What are HP Printables?

HP Printables is a method to print content through scheduled printing, the Print latest option on your printer control panel, and the HP Connected website. HP Printables provided content from sources like Disney, Universal Crossword, TimesDigest Daily, NBC News, ForbesDaily, 7-Day Menu Planner, Crayola, allrecipes.com, ORIGAMI, and Dreamworks.

How does the retirement of HP Printables affect my printer?

As individual printables were retired, the icon for the printable was automatically removed from your printer control panel and HP Connected. Any scheduled HP Printables stopped printing when they were retired.

Web services, such as HP Instant Ink, HP ePrint, and Google Cloud Print, are unaffected.

HP Printer Apps are also not affected. Printer apps might include: HP Quick Forms, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Family Search, HP Scan to Email, HP JetAdvantage Private Print, and Shoeboxed. Printer app availability varies by country/region and your printer model. Available Printer Apps might change over time due to customer interest/usage, or other factors.

Printers with a text-based control panel do not support printer apps.

What is removed from my printer?

Only HP Printables, which provided scheduled and on-demand printing, were retired and removed from your printer.

How do I add printer apps to my printer?

In countries/regions where HP Printer Apps are supported, available printer apps supported by your printer model can be viewed and added to your printer on the printer control panel.

Tap the Apps, Printer Apps, or HP Printables icon on your touchscreen printer control panel.

Scroll to the right and tap the Get More icon to check for any new apps or app updates.

Printers with a text-based control panel do not support printer apps.

Is the HP Printable mobile app automatically removed from my mobile device?

The HP Printable mobile app stopped delivering content after October 31, 2016. You must manually uninstall the HP Printables mobile app from your mobile device. You can uninstall the app without affecting other HP apps and services. On October 31, 2016, the HP Printables mobile app was removed from the Android and iOS app stores and stopped connecting to your printer.

What are my other mobile printing options?

HP provides several free, mobile printing solutions that allow you to print wirelessly from your mobile device to supported HP printers connected to the same network and over the Internet.

HP mobile printing is available from the following devices:

iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Android mobile devices
Windows phones and tablets
Google Chromebooks and computers running Chrome OS
