HP JetAdvantage On Demand - Activate an HP JetAdvantage On Demand account

To begin enjoying the benefits of HP JetAdvantage On Demand, an HP representative or an HP JetAdvantage On Demand administrator needs to create a user account.
note:
If an HP representative creates a company account, the contact person for the company automatically becomes the HP JetAdvantage On Demand administrator for the company, so be sure to choose a contact person who is comfortable with administrative duties such as activating user accounts.
Once an HP representative or HP JetAdvantage On Demand administrator creates a user account, an email will be sent with a user name and a link to set a password. The activation email looks similar to this example:

  1. From the activation email, click the Activate Your New Account link. The HP JetAdvantage On Demand web site opens in a web browser window.
  2. Type a New password, and then type the same password again into the Confirm your new password text field. The new password:
    • Must be at least 8 characters
    • Must contain at least 1 UPPER CASE character
    • Must contain at least 1 lower case character
    • Must contain at least 1 number or special character
    • Must have no white space
  3. Click the box to agree to the Terms of Use, and then click Activate. Your account is activated and you can now log into your HP JetAdvantage On Demand account with the new password.

Resend an activation email

When a company administrator adds a user to HP JetAdvantage On Demand, the user should automatically receive an activation email. If the activation email does not arrive in the user's email inbox, use the following steps to troubleshoot the problem, and, if necessary, resend the activation email to the user:
  1. Ask the user to check their junk email folder for the activation email.
  2. If the activation email is not in the user's junk folder, the administrator should verify that the user's email address is typed correctly. The administrator can verify the user's email address by logging into the company HP JetAdvantage On Demand account, clicking Manage Users, and then clicking View Details next to the user's name. If necessary, the administrator can resend the activation email:
    1. Log into the company HP JetAdvantage On Demand account.
    2. Click Manage Users.
    3. Click the View Details button in the same row as the user to be resent the activation email.
    4. Click the Resend Activation Email button, located below the Status field. An "Activation email resent" confirmation message displays above the Update button.
