HP Pavilion 14-e000, 15-e000, 17-e000 Notebook PCs - Double Tapping The Upper Left Corner Disables the Touchpad (Windows 8)

Double tapping the upper left corner of the touchpad disables the touchpad.
Information in this document applies to the following:
Computers:
  • HP Pavilion 14-e000 Notebook PC series
  • HP Pavilion 15-e000 Notebook PC series
  • HP Pavilion 17-e000 Notebook PC series
Do not replace any hardware or set up any service events.
Double tap the top left corner of the touch pad. If the touch pad functions normally after double tapping, the double tap control function is enabled. To disable the function, complete one of the following procedures:
HP Pavilion 14-e000 Notebook PCs:
  1. In the control panel, select Hardware and Sound. Select Devices and Printers. Select Mouse.
  2. In the Touch Pad tab, click "Click to change the Touch Pad settings".
  3. Select Tapping. Uncheck "Double Tap to Enable or Disable Touch Pad".
HP Pavilion 15-e000 and 17-e000 Notebook PCs:
  1. In the control panel, select Hardware and Sound. Select Devices and Printers. Select Mouse.
  2. Select the Device Settings tab. Click Settings.
  3. Select Tapping. Click the settings icon.
  4. Uncheck "Double Tap to Enable or Disable Touch Pad".
