This document applies to HP TouchSmart 610 series desktop computers.
You can use your Touchsmart PC as a monitor for playing games or viewing movies from devices that display HDMI or composite video, such as XBox or a Blue-ray movie player. To do this, you connect an HDMI-compliant game console to the TouchSmart using an HDMI cable. The TouchSmart HDMI ports are located on the right side of the computer, at the bottom.

The TouchSmart provides audio from the internal
speakers, or you can use headphones or external speakers that are connected to the A/V source connector (audio out)
located at the back of the computer.

caution:When the system is in Display mode, the computer is still running in the background. The keyboard, mouse, and touch screen are active and still control the computer. To avoid making unwanted changes to open files on your computer, it is recommended that you save and close all files before connecting to the HDMI ports.
note:When connected to the game console ports, your system is in display mode and has no recording capability.
After connecting the game console to the computer, use the Picture in Picture (PIP) software to:

select the incoming video source.

select the gaming mode.

adjust the brightness, contrast, color, and volume.
