HP Color LaserJet CP1215, CP1217, CP1514n, CP1515n, and CP1518ni Printers - One or More Colors Missing on the Printout

Issue

A page prints, but is missing one or more colors. The front door of the product might have been opened recently.
Try the following solutions in the order presented to resolve the issue. When one of the solutions resolves the issue, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.

Solution one: Make sure that all protective tape is removed and that the print cartridges are seated correctly

note:
The product shown in the following graphics might look slightly different from your product, but the steps are the same.
  1. Open the front access door completely.
    TIP
Opening and closing the front access door completely makes sure that the toner drive mechanism works correctly after you close the door.

Do not touch the green roller (imaging drum) on the bottom of the print cartridge. Fingerprints on the imaging drum can cause print-quality problems.

  4. Make sure that the print cartridges are in the correct color-coded slots and are seated in the drawer correctly. Adjust them if necessary.
