HP Notebook PCs - Fixing Webcam Problems (Windows Vista)
Some HP notebooks come with preinstalled webcams that can be used to capture video motion or still images. A webcam is a video input device, similar to a scanner or camera, and will not work unless you have software that works with your webcam hardware. For HP notebooks with Vista, the available video recording software programs are QuickPlay or YouCam (depending on the model).
