This document lists steps to correct errors indicated by flashing lights on the front panel of the unit.

Solution
Press the On button to turn on the device.

The Scan button was pressed and there was no response from the computer.
Solution
  1. Turn the HP All-in-One off.
  2. Unplug the power cord.
  3. Wait a minute, then plug the power cord back in.
  4. Turn the HP All-in-One back on.

Issue
The HP All-in-One is out of paper.
Solution
Load paper and press Resume button.
Issue
The HP All-in-One has a paper jam.
Solution
  1. Remove all loose paper from the paper In tray.
  2. After removing the paper, check to make sure no scraps of paper are stuck in the printer.
  3. Press the Resume button.
Issue
The paper size setting in the copy software does not match the paper size detected in the paper In tray.
Solution
Load the correct sized paper.

The print cartridge door is open.
Solution
Make sure that the print cartridge door has been completely closed.

The print cartridges are missing or not seated correctly.
Solution
Insert the print cartridge by sliding it forward into the slot correctly.
Issue
The tape was not removed from the print cartridge.
Solution
Make sure the plastic tape has been removed before inserting the print cartridge in the slot.
Issue
The print cartridge is not intended for use in this HP All-in-One.
Solution
Use the print cartridge that is compatible with the HP All-in-One.
Issue
The print cartridge might be defective.
Solution
Replace the print cartridge.
note:
The printer might be packaged with only a tri-color print cartridge.
