PSC 1600 Series All-in-One Products - 'No Mech Mode' Error Message Displays On the Control Panel

Issue
The 'No Mech Mode' error message displays on the control panel.
This document applies to the following all-in-one products:
  • HP PSC 1600, 1603, 1605, 1608, 1610, 1610v, 1610xi, 1613, and 1615
Solution
  1. Verify that the control panel overlay is not holding the Setup button down.
  2. Verify that nothing is stacked on top of the unit that might put pressure on the Setup button.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the unit to turn off the all-in-one.
  4. Press and hold the Setup button and connect the power cord to the back of the unit to take the unit out of No Mech Mode. Release the Setup button.
Service or replace your HP product if you completed all preceding steps.
To see if your product is still under warranty, go to the warranty check website http://www.support.hp.com/checkwarranty. Contact HP Support to schedule a repair or replacement. If you are in Asia Pacific, Contact HP Support to find a local service center in your area.
Repair fees might apply for out-of-warranty products.
