HP Business Desktops - How to Correct an Invalid Electronic Serial Number in BIOS

After system-board replacement, booting the unit causes an error message at post regarding an invalid electronic serial number.

1. Press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
2. Press CTRL A.
3. Select Advanced, System IDs, and enter the serial number from the service tag sticker on the chassis.
4. Press F10 to save settings and exit BIOS.

For desktop branding, customers need to fill the following details availble on the HP sticker of the unit.

Please fill in the following details under system IDs:

To enter into the system ids tag f10>CTRL +A>Security>System ids

Asset Tag: 2UA3510CRL(Serial number)

Ownership tag: LEAVE IT BLANK

Chasis serial Number: 2UA3510CRL(Serial number )

Product Name: HP Compaq Pro 4300 SFF

SKU number: D8C84UT#ABA

Build id: 12WWPIIW6**#SABA#DABA

After filling the details, press F10 to accept.

Once the unit accepts the changes, select SAVE CHANGES AND EXIT.
