HP Business Inkjet 3000 Series Printers - PCL XL Enhanced, or PCL6, Error and Warning Messages
Issue:
Errors can be reported to the user during the course of a PCL XL session when printing using the "Enhanced" HP Business Inkjet Microsoft Windows printer drivers. These drivers may also be referred to as PCL6 drivers. The user will get a printed error report page from the printer.
Usually an error report page will show the following information:

The subsystem that indicated the error.
-
A textual error code describing the error condition.
-
The name of the operator being processed at the time of the error.
-
The operator position in the stream where the error occurred.
Solution
A list of 55 PCL XL errors follows. Some of the errors indicate a possible workaround; however, others do not. When this occurs, suggest the customer use the HP PCL5e or Microsoft Operating System driver as a workaround. If an error occurs randomly and cannot be reproduced then it is most likely a communication error.
