HP 9100C Digital Sender - Enterprise Center Message, 'Error 2008, Upgrade Failed'

Issue:
After attempting to upgrade an HP 9100C Digital Sender to version 4.0 firmware, the Enterprise Center displays the message, Upgrade failed, error 2008. The digital sender self-test page reports that the firmware is upgraded; however, the HP 9100c Digital Sender fails to restart at the end of the upgrade cycle.
Solution
Uninstall Enterprise Center version 3 and install Enterprise Center version 4.
To check the version, open Enterprise Center and click Help and then About. Click here to search for Digital Sender 9100C software and download the latest the version of Enterprise Center.
Cause
  • The 2008 error may occur when trying to upgrade the digital sender using an older version of the Enterprise Center (Version 4 is latest).
  • If both verisons of Enterprise Center are installed on the same PC or server, an error 2008 will occur. Both versions 3 and 4 of the Enterprise Center have some files in common and this may create come conflicts.
Summary
Please make sure that there is only one version of the software installed on one PC.
