Network Scanjet5 - Network Scanjet Hangs During the Boot Cycle

Issue:
The Network Scanjet5 hangs on Steps 1 through 5 of five during start up.
Solution
For Firmware 3.0, perform these steps:
  note:
This sequence will work in a Novell Network as well as in an NT network.
  1. Turn off the Network Scanjet5.
  2. Turn on the Network Scanjet5.
  3. Wait for the Network Scanjet5 to display: Self-test initializing, please wait.
  4. Press F2, DUPLEX, and number 8 at the same time while the scanner is starting up for five to ten seconds. This should reconfigure the hard drive of the scanner correctly.
For Firmware 2.0 or below, the Network Scanjet5 network box requires service at the service center for repair.
