HP Digital Sender 9100C - E-mail Reliability

Issue:
The “From” field in the e-mail section of the digital senders front panel must contain an @ symbol and a period. If the e-mail address in the “From” field is invalid, e-mails may not go through.
Solution
To prevent this situation, a “From field” test has been developed that will automatically test a guest user’s “From”field and subsequently allow that user to select Fix, Help, or Ignore. The “From field” test will only be used for guests. It will not be used for registered or administrative users. This test can be enabled or disabled by the administrator using the Control Panel or the Web Access tool.
Summary
In the e-mail section of the 9100C Digital Senders front panel options, there are three fields, “From”, “Subject”, and “To”.
“From” field
When logging in to the digital sender with a valid login ID and selecting e-mail, your login ID is automatically populated in the “From” field.
When logging in as “Guest” and selecting e-mail, nologin ID displays in the “From” field. This “From” field wants a valid e-mail address. If you enter your first name or initial in the “From” field, an error message will appear. It has three options, Fix, Help, or Ignore. Selecting Ignore will ignore the “From” field test and continue. A phony e-mail address, such as user@domain.com, can also be entered and the digital sender will accept it.
“To” field
When tabbing to the “To” field, typing in the first initial character of a valid user, who is in the Address Book Manager, will bring up that user’s ID.
