How do I install the HP DesignJet ColorPro CAD Windows system print driver version 4.35?
Please print these pages and follow the instructions outlined below:
DETAILS: Both brief installation instructions and complete installation instructions are included in this document.
Brief installation instructions
If you have any problems or doubts with these brief installation instructions, please follow the more complete and detailed installation instructions listed at the end of step 4 in the brief installation instructions.
  1. Open the Printers folder in the Control Panel of your Windows System. This can be done using: "Start"->"Settings"->"Printers" or "Start"->"Settings"->"Control Panel" then opening the Printer control. Delete the current installed HP DesignJet ColorPro CAD printers.
  2. Save the executable file that came attached with this message to the hard disk on your PC. If you received multiple files then chose the one corresponding to Operating System and Language that you wish to install.
  3. Open (Execute or Run) the executable file that you saved in step 2. Chose a temporary folder and Unzip the files to that folder.
  4. In the Printer Folder (see step 1)), chose "Add Printer" and follow the instructions with special note to the following points:-
Select "Have Disk" and not the printer from the list of Manufacturers offered by Windows (failing to do so will re-install the previous driver!)
Chose "Replace existing driver" when asked -- failing to do so will re-install the previous driver.
When finished, open the Properties page of your newly installed printer. Select the "About" tab and check that the version shown is "v4.35", this indicates that you have the new version of the driver installed.
It is best to re-start the system to ensure correct operation of the newly installed printer.
