    Information regarding recent vulnerabilities

    HP is aware of the recent vulnerabilities commonly referred to as "Spectre" and "Meltdown". HP has published a security bulletin with patches for these issues and a list of impacted systems. We will continue to update the bulletin as more information becomes available and encourage customers to check the bulletin frequently.

HP Designjet cc800ps, 815mfp and 4200 Scanner - When Scanning Thick Originals the Leading Edge is not Copied

Issue:
When scanning thick originals the first two inches are missing from the copy.
Solution
Uncheck the Extended Thickness option in the scanner software by following the steps provided below:
Designjet cc800ps
  1. Select the HP Designjet Copier on the copier monitor.
  2. Select the Setup tab.

  3. Click the hp cc800ps box as shown below.

  4. Click the Tool icon as shown below.

  5. In the Scanner Setup window, click Scanner Setup as shown below.

  6. Select the Extended Thickness tab.
  7. Remove the checkmark from Use extended thickness paper handling as shown below.

  8. The copier should now scan the entire original.
      note:
    Make sure to support the original when it is close to the beginning or trailing edges to avoid "tilt," which can be seen in the scanned image.

  1. Select Designjet scan on the touch-screen monitor.

  2. Click on the Setup tab.

  3. Select Scan Options.

  4. Select Scanner setup.

  5. Select the Extended Thickness tab.

  6. Remove the check mark from the Use extended thickness paper handling and then click OK.
  7. Click OK again.
  8. The scanner should now scan the entire original.
