HP Designjet 50ps Printer - Comparison of Concept and Contract Proofs
Information
Concept Proof
It is important for the graphic artist to be able to represent the final output that will come off the offset press. With a Concept Proof, the graphic designer is more concerned with the layout and the overall design of the print job and less concerned with matching the final color output that will be printed by the press.
Contract Proof
Once the graphic designer is satisfied with the Concept Proof, the print job will be sent to a pre-press house. The pre-press house will then print a Contract Proof before sending the job to the press. On a Contract Proof the colors printed should closely match those that will be printed when the print job is sent to the printing press.
