HP Designjet 500, 510, and 800 Series Printers - HPLTRPL1.EXE Error in Windows XP
Issue:
Receiving the error HPLTRPL1.EXE on a Windows XP computer when using a HP Designjet 500, 510, or 800 series printer.
Solution

On the computer Desktop, click Start, Search, All files and folders.

Type HPLTRPL1.EXE in the All or part of the file name box, then click on Search.
- When the file appears, right-click on the file and click on Properties.

Click on the Compatibility tab and place a check in the box Run the program to make it compatible with Windows 95.

Click on Apply then OK to save the change. The computer should no longer display the error message.
