HP Designjet 10ps and 20ps Printers - Unable to Print in Windows 98 after Changing Ports in the Software RIP

Issue:
After changing the Port setup in the software RIP from FILE or TCP/IP to Parallel, the software RIP will stop working.
Solution
Upgrade to software rip version 1.2. This version is for free and you can request a copy either on-line or calling to HP support.
Workaround
Uninstall the software RIP. Reinstall the RIP and choose Parallelport during the installation.
