Introduction

This document contains a list of test prints and functions that can be executed from the front panel.

Printing test pages

Print test pages using the POWER, CANCEL, and CONTINUE buttons located on the front panel of the printer. Use the table below to determine the number of times to press the buttons for the desired page.
  1. Press and hold the POWER button.
  2. Press the CANCEL button the number of times indicated in the table.
  3. Press the CONTINUE button the number of times indicated in the table.

Usage report page

The Usage report contains the following information:
  • Model name
  • Model number
  • Serial number
  • Date of latest print job received
  • Total ink consumed
  • Date of first print job received
  • Pages printed (size/type/print quality)

Printhead alignment page

This page is automatically launched after a printhead replacement. The printer scans the pattern printed on the page; no feedback is required. Figure 2 shows the printhead alignment page.

Information page

Printer Identification section

The Printer Identification section of the Information page contains the following information:

Printer identification

  • Model information
  • Serial number
  • FW release
  • ROM type
  • Service ID (born-on date)
  • Second tray installed
  • Duplexer installed
  • I/O Cards

Printer status

  • Date (when last job was sent since print is ON)
  • Printer status (OK/Warning/Error)
  • List with detailed information about printer's latest errors
  • List about printer's latest warnings
  • Printheads alignment status
  • List of latest print jobs and print mode used

Printer usage

  • Total ink consumed in cubic centimeters
  • Total printheads used
  • Total number of pages printed
  • Percentage of usage of printer subsystems vs. life goal

Ink Consumable Identification section

The Consumable Identification section of the Information page contains the following information:

  • Printhead information
  • Cartridge information

Ink consumable status

  • Printhead status
  • Scan axis shutdown
  • Cartridge status

Ink consumable usage

  • Printhead history

I/O section

The I/O section of the Information page contains the following information:
  • Jetdirect status
  • Jetdirect model
  • Hardware address
  • Firmware version
  • Network statistics
  • Port configuration
  • Protocol information (AppleTalk name/IP address/Subnet mask/Idle timeout)

NVM contents page

The NVM contents page contains the following information:
