HP Designjet 1000 Series Printers - Green Tint on Grayscale Prints when Using the HP-GL/2 Driver

Issue:
When printing in grayscale, prints appear to have a green tint with firmware prior to v. A.01.10.
Solution
Upgrade firmware to v. A.01.10 or higher. Make the following selections from the front panel menu:
  1. Select Printer Setup Menu.
  2. Click HP-GL/2 Settings.
  3. Click Grays.
  4. Select Black ink.
Workaround
When printing from AutoCAD 14, the following selections provide a workaround:
  1. Select Tools from the menu bar.
  2. Click the Preferences tab.
  3. Select HP Designjet 1050c or HP Designjet 1055cm.
  4. At the command line, type hpconfig and press Enter.
  5. Select Pens.
  6. Click Halftoning.
  7. Click Pattern.
This workaround may decrease, or eliminate the green tint. If the image is too dark, change the Print Qualityselection from Best to Normal or Fast.
Summary
Firmware v. A.01.10 adds another option, Grays, under the HP-GL/2 settings. This option was not available with earlier firmware versions.
