HP Designjet 488CA Printer - Printing CMYK Files From Unknown Sources

Issue:

Color output may not be what was expected when printing CMYK files from unknown sources.

Solution

When printing CMYK files that were previously created from an unknown source, go to Setup Properties and check the Use Color Correction box in the Print tab. Also, choose SWOP Coated as the CMYK ICC Input Profile, along with the appropriate ICC Output Profile.

If the output is still not as expected, select a different CMYK ICC Input Profile. Since the source is unknown, the process of trial and error is required.

When printing CMYK files from known sources, refer to the Advanced Printing section of the User's Guide for correct settings.
