Issue:
Banding occurs on files with large color fill areas in RTL or HPGL mode.
Solution
Try the following:
  • Turn the printer off, reseat the memory SIMM(s), turn the printer on, and try printing again.
  • If supported Hewlett-Packard memory is not being used, turn the printer off, remove the third-party memory SIMM(s) and try printing again.
  • Add memory to the printer.
  • If the problem occurs about every sixth swath, try removing a memory SIMM and print again.
HP Designjet 650C, A and B printers memory specifications:

  • Maximum - 68 MB
  • SIMM slots - 2
  • Memory SIMM specification - 72 pin, 36 bit, 70 or 80ns
