HP Jornada 560 Series PDA - PDA Does not Turn on or Display Appears Turned off

Introduction
The HP Jornada 560 series PDA does not turn on or the display appears to be off, even though power is on for one of the following reasons:
Display is off
The display may have been turned off. Press and hold the NOTIFICATION button/LED on top of the PDA to turn on the display.
Insufficient light
The light in the room is insufficient. Turn on lights, move to a room with more light, adjust the backlight (see the steps below), or adjust the brightness (see the steps below).
Adjusting the backlight
Press and hold the POWER button to turn on the backlight or change the settings to use the light sensor to automatically turn on the backlight in dark conditions by completing the following steps:
  1. Tap Start and then Settings.
  2. Tap the System tab.
  3. Tap Display from the drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
  4. Tap the Backlight icon.
  5. Select auto on/off according to ambient light.
  6. Tap OK.
Adjust the brightness
Use HP Settings to increase the brightness of the display by completing the following steps:
  1. Tap Start and then Settings.
  2. Tap the System tab.
  3. Tap Display from the drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
  4. Tap the Backlight icon.
  5. Tap and drag the Brightness slider to the desired brightness.
  6. Tap OK.
Device is reset
The device has been reset. After a reset, the screen remains blank for approximately 3 seconds after pressing the POWER button. Press the POWER button and wait approximately 3 seconds.
No power
The HP Jornada has run out of power. Charge the device by connecting to AC power. The LED/Notification button on top of the PDA will turn amber when the device is charging and green when charging is complete.
