HP OmniGo 100 and 120 (US/AP) - HotSync Backup Program and Connectivity Pack

Issue:
Setting up and performing a HotSync from the HP OmniGo to a PC.
Solution
Before you can set the HotSync up, the user must successfully connect the HP OmniGo and PC. First, make sure that the HP OmniGo serial cable is attached to the correct PC serial port. Also, make sure that the cable is attached to the HP OmniGo with the HP logo facing up. The connectivity pack is started by opening the OmniGo Program Group and double-clicking the OmniGo 100 Connectivity Pack icon.
To perform the initial HotSync and back up the data from the HP OmniGo to the PC, first you must verify the communications settings on the HP OmniGo. This is done by going to the Home application and then to Transfer > PC > Serial and selecting a Baud Rate of 9600 (the default). To verify the Connectivity Pack communication settings, choose Setup from the HotSync Menu and confirm that the settings are correct for the Com port that you are using and that the Baud Rate is also set to 9600.
To perform the HotSync, first from the Home application go to Transfer > PC > and tap the Connect button in the PC Connect box, then tap the HotSync button in the toolbar. A message box will then appear to tell you that HotSync is attempting to connect to the HP OmniGo. This box will remain on the screen until the two units are connected. When they connect, the Assign User Account dialog box will appear. Then you must select the name of the user account to assign to the HP OmniGo and click Select. When the HotSync dialog box appears, the first time it will say "never synchronized". The user must then click the Auto button to begin the automatic HotSync. The HotSync in Progress dialog box will then appear and indicate the progress of the HotSync. When the Connectivity Pack finishes the HotSync, the message at the top of the Dialog Box will change to "HotSync Successfully Completed" In addition, the Cancel button will change to an "OK" button. To complete the HotSync, click the "OK" button.
