HP Digital Home Networking - Cloning the MAC Address

Introduction
Follow the steps in this document to clone the MAC address of the network card or adapter to the Wireless Gateway (hn200w).
Instructions
  1. Click Start, then click Run.
  2. Type command in the Open: box.
  3. Click OK.
  4. At the DOS prompt, type one of the following:
    • winipcfg (for Windows 98 or Me)
    • ipconfig/all (for Windows 2000)
  5. Press ENTER.
  6. Make a note of the unique 12-digit identification code assigned to a hardware device. This will be needed in a later step.
  7. Right-click the ethernet gateway system tray icon which is located at the right of the task bar.
  8. Highlight gateway control panel.
  9. Click the Launch Expert Interface tab.
  10. Click the Advanced Tab, and select MAC Clone.
  11. Enter the 12-digit MAC address found in the Adapter/Physical Address field in the User Defined WAN MAC Address boxes on the MAC Address Clone screen.
  12. Click Apply to save the changes.
