HP J4148A SureStore CD-ROM Expansion Tower - Product Specifications

Name

Description
HP SureStore CD-ROM Expansion Tower
J4148A
Tower with 7 CD-ROM drives pre-installed used to expand the capacity of the J3278A HP SureStore CD-ROM Server/Tower 7+. It can also be used with the J3168A stand-alone CD-ROM server.
Product features and overview
Product description
The HP J4148A SureStore CD-ROM Expansion Tower connects to an HP server or server/tower, using the supplied SCSI cable.
The expansion tower contains seven HP CD-ROM drives in a single subsystem. The HP CD-ROM drives are daisy-chained together using an internal SCSI bus interface. The power required to operate the CD-ROM drives is supplied internally by the expansion tower.
All components of the tower are completely modular - the drives are self-configuring modules. In the unlikely event a drive should fail, replacement is a simple and straightforward procedure.
A drive’s SCSI ID is set automatically, based on its position in the tower. An active terminator, provided with the expansion tower, must be installed on the back of the tower. The server can also be managed using HP Web JetAdmin. This can also be downloaded (http://www.hp.com/go/webjetadmin).
