HP CD-ROM Server - Server Does not Appear in Network Neighborhood
CD-ROM does not appear in network neighborhood under the workgroup named ‘Workgroup’.
The CD-ROM Server by default is visible in the workgroup named "Workgroup". If the workgroup has been removed or renamed, the CD-ROM Server will not be visible in the network neighborhood until an existing workgroup has been specified in the CD-ROM Server. This is done by the parameter Domain/GroupName under the [SMB] heading, and initiating a restart of the CD-ROM Server. To find the CD-ROM Server select: Start/Find/Computer/Named: type in HPhhhhhh ,where hhhhhh are the last six digits of the CD-ROM Server’s LAN hardware address. The LAN hardware (MAC) address can be found on the label on the bottom of the CD-ROM Server or attached to the tower enclosure.
note:To restart in the config.ini file, change the Restart parameter under the [Server] heading to ‘yes’, save the config.ini file and close file. To restart using a web browser, submit changes for [SMB] heading, then change Restart parameter under [Server] heading to ‘yes’ and submit settings.
