HP PageWide Pro 700 series - Understanding the Usage Report

Introduction

The Pagewide Pro Usage Report provides an overview of the number of A4-equivalent impressions which have been output by the printer.

Understanding the Usage Report

The Usage Report provides print output usage information categorized by type and size of print output. Usage information for all categories is combined and reported as A4 Equivalent Impressions.
The categories of print output reported include Print, Copy, and Fax, with sub-types of Monochrome, Accent Color, General Office Color, and Other. Certain print output sizes are also reported. The data in the Print, Copy, and Fax categories are then consolidated and summarized in the A4 Equivalent Impressions section of the Usage Report.
The A4 Equivalent Impressions values are calculated using a Units value shown for each line in the Print, Copy, and Fax sub-sections of the report. The Units value is based on the Media Size for each line of reported count data, and is applied as a multiplier to each count value shown in the respective line of the report. The resultant values are then totaled and summarized in the A4 Equivalent Impressions table at the bottom of the Usage Report.
In certain cases where custom page sizes are used for Copy and Fax print jobs, data may not be reported in the Copy and Fax subsections of the report. The counts for these print jobs, although not reported in the Copy or Fax subsections of the report, are still captured and accurately included and reported in the A4 Equivalent Impressions table at the bottom of the Usage Page.
The Usage Report can be printed by selecting Usage Page on the Reports menu from within the Setup screen on the front panel of the product. The Usage Report information can also be accessed via the product’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) by selecting Usage Report in the Reports area of the Tools section of the web page.
