Restore factory defaults on HP Smart Tank 210, 520, 540, 580, 5100 printers

Restore factory defaults using the Smart Tank 210, 520, 540, 580, or 5100 printer control panel.

1. Turn off the printer.

2. Depending on your printer, use the control panel buttons to start the factory restore.

   • Smart Tank 210 printers: Press and hold the Resume and Information buttons at the same time.

   • Smart Tank 520, 540, 580, 5100 printers: Press and hold the Resume and Black Copy buttons at the same time.

3. Without releasing the buttons, turn on the printer.

4. Wait at least 5 seconds, and then release the buttons.

   After about 20 seconds, your printer automatically restarts.
