HP LaserJet Enterprise, HP PageWide Enterprise - Use HP's built-in print solution for Android and Amazon Fire

HP's built-in print solution can be used to automatically find and print from an Android or Kindle device to select HP printers using a Wi-Fi or Wireless Direct connection.

Because the print solution is built into the Android operating system, you do not need to install drivers or download software to use it. Kindle devices require a one-time download to install the HP Print Plug-In the first time that the print solution is used.

Use HP's built-in print solution

Follow the steps below to use the built-in print solution.

  1. From a supported app, open the app's menu, and then tap Print.

  2. For Kindle users, download and install the HP Print Plug-in when prompted.

  3. Find the option to select your printer to view a list of available printers.

  4. Find the printer on the Wi-Fi or Wireless Direct list, and then tap to select it.

    Note:

To use Wireless Direct printing, the Android or Kindle device must be within wireless range of the printer.

  5. If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.

    Note:

After you select the printer, your device will remember the selection for future use.

  6. Make any changes to the available print options. Refer to the Supported print options section at the end of this document.

  7. Tap Print.
