Remove the memory module from inside the computer.
Remove the top cover.
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the four 5mm (0.19 in) screws that secure the battery in place.
To avoid personal injury and damage to the computer, use extreme care not to puncture, twist, or crack the battery. An internal puncture or rupture to the battery can cause an electrical short, which might result in a thermal event.
With both hands, carefully lift the rear edge of the battery, and then slide the front edge away from the base enclosure to remove the battery.
Remove the polyester film that covers the memory module, and then set it aside for later use.
Push out both levers simultaneously to release the memory module.
Grasp the memory module by the edges, and then gently remove it.
