DESCRIPTION

After an on/off power sequencing event, which can be a powering off of the system with a power on event or a power outage with a power on event, the HP ZCentral 4R Workstation might turn on with no display to graphics and after more than 100 seconds the BIOS code ramps the fans. The ramping of the fans is implemented due to a BIOS hang.

When this issue occurs, the only fix is to replace the systemboard. Refer to the Resolution section for the solution to fix this BIOS hang before the failure occurs.

RESOLUTION

This issue has been resolved with BIOS versions 1.18 and later, and the updated version is available on HP Support. Update the BIOS as soon as possible.
