Samsung Xpress SL-M2020, SL-M2026 - Loading Paper in the Tray

The following instructions show how to load paper into the tray.
  1. Open the tray.

  2. Flex or fan the edge of the paper stack to separate the pages before loading papers.

  3. Adjust the tray size to the media size being loading, see Tray overview. Place the paper with the side to print facing up, then open the output tray.

  4. Squeeze the paper width guide and slide it to the edge of the paper stack without causing it to bend.

    note:
    • Do not push the paper width guide too far causing the media to warp.
    • Not adjusting the paper width guide might cause paper jams.

    • Do not use a paper with a leading-edge curl, it might cause a paper jam or the paper can be wrinkled.

Manual feeding in the tray

The manual feeder can hold special sizes and types of print material, such as postcards, note cards, and envelopes. See Print media specifications.

Tips on using the manual feeder

  • Load only one type, size and weight of print media at time in the manual feeder.
  • Select Paper > Source > Manual Feeder for the paper source in the software application. Press Print Screen or WPS button each time when printing a page and load only one type, size and weight of print media at a time on the manual tray.
  • To prevent paper jams, do not add paper while printing when there is still paper in the manual feeder.
  • Load the print media face up with the top edge going into the manual feeder first and placed in the center of the tray.
  • To make sure printing quality and to prevent paper jams, only load the available paper. See Print media specifications.
  • Flatten any curl on postcards, envelopes, and labels before loading them into the manual feeder.
  • When printing on special media, following the loading guidelines is required. See Printing on special media.
  • When the printer is in a power save mode, the printer does not feed paper from the manual feeder. Wake up the printer by pressing the power button before using the manual feeder.
