Use the following procedure to clear jams in the optional 5-bin mailbox. When a jam occurs, the control panel displays a message and an animation that assists in clearing the jam.

Remove any paper that is in the mailbox output bins.Figure : Remove paper from the mailbox output bins

On the back of the 5-bin mailbox, open the jam-access door.Figure : Open the jam-access door on the rear of the mailbox

If the paper is jammed at the top of the 5-bin mailbox, pull it straight down to remove it.Figure : Remove jammed paper from inside the mailbox

If the paper is jammed at the bottom of the 5-bin mailbox, open the rear output bin, and then pull straight up on the paper to remove it.Figure : Open the rear output bin and remove jammed paper

Close the mailbox jam-access door and the rear output bin.Figure : Close the rear output bin
