Setting Up the Printer Hardware for HP LaserJet Pro CP1025 and CP1025nw Color Printers
Introduction
This document includes the following steps to set up the product:

Check the contents of the box
-
Unpack the printer
-
Insert the input tray
-
Load plain paper
-
Connect the power cord
-
Turn on power
Set up the printer
Follow these steps in order.
caution:Do NOT connect a USB cable now. If you plan to use a USB cable to connect the product to the computer, you will be prompted to connect it at the correct time during software installation.
Step one: Check the contents of the box
Remove the product and other items from the shipping box, and then check the contents.
The contents might vary by country/region. See the packaging for a list of items shipped in the box.
Step two: Unpack the printer

Remove all the orange shipping tape and the packaging material from outside the product.Figure : Remove packing tape

Recycle or discard the packaging materials.Figure : Recycle or discard the packaging materials

Raise the print cartridge door, and then remove and discard the two orange packing clips.Figure : Remove orange packing clips

Remove the instruction sheet.Do not turn on the power or install the product software, yet.Figure : Remove the instruction sheet
Step three: Insert the input tray

Close the print cartridge door, and then remove the input tray from inside the product.Figure : Close the print cartridge door and remove the input tray

Remove the input tray from its packaging, and then flip the tray.Figure : Remove packaging and flip the tray

Insert the input tray, and then raise the output tray extender.Figure : Insert the input tray and raise the output tray extender
Step four: Load plain paper

The following video demonstrates how to load paper.

Slide the paper length and width guides to their outermost positions.

Load plain white paper in the input tray. Slide the paper forward until it stops.Figure : Load plain white paper
note:
Do not overload the tray. Make sure that the stack of paper fits within the tray and is no higher than the top of the guides. -

Step five: Connect the power cord
Connect the power cord to the back of the product, and then plug it into the wall outlet.

Step six: Turn on power
Press the Power button (
) to turn on the product.
